About
The reason I have set up this bodybuilding blog is to hopefully help give me some motivation and reference in full filling my bodybuilding ambitions. My aims are not to become a professional bodybuilder or even be as big as the pro’s such as Ronnie Coleman or Marcus Ruhl (I wont even come close) but to build an impressive muscular physique.
I’m a child of the 80’s and 90’s and my heros of that time were action stars such as (you guessed it) Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Jean Claude Van Dam. So I think the 80’s and 90’s movie genre has definitely had an influence on my thought process on how I would like to perceive my own Image.
I have never really been involved in any sports and even though my hero was Arnie at the time I had no motivation or interest in lifting weights until I left school and decided I wanted to join the Army. the recruitment office advised me to start training and bulk up a little as I was a all skin and bones. After about 4 months of training I noticed a significant difference in my body shape and started seeing the appearance of muscles I never though I had, I have been hooked on bodybuilding ever since.
Now I say hooked but my training over the years has been reminiscent of a yo yo diet, on and off. It wouldn’t be fair to call myself a good bodybuilder at this point in time as a good bodybuilder sculpts his body so everything is in proportion. fortunately I’m not that big otherwise my legs would look a real mess as this is an area I haven’t given as much attention as the rest of my body. my legs are definably my weakest point especially my calves, which have always been under developed.
The reason for this blog is so I can track my progress and motivate myself into sticking with my bodybuilding routine and to put pressure on myself in order to get my legs into shape.
so welcome to my bodybuilding blog.
