The first time I ever saw Markus Ruhl was while I watching my first ever Mr Olympia. My first impression was that this guy is massive (a little more than the rest). what also caught my attention was as he walked onto the stage with his name being announced , the crowd started booing.
Or so I thought. what they were actually saying was RUHLLLLL, just sounded like they were booing him. And I have seen in other competitions that the commentators have actually had to explain that they aren’t booing Marcus Ruhl, so its not just my hearing 
There aren’t many words that can describe Markus except for bodybuilding FREAK , but not meant in a bad way. He is a huge guy and I think misses out in not performing better in bodybuilding competitions due to his weak points which most would agree are his triceps and lats.
Although Markus Ruhl is’nt the most aesthetically pleasing bodybuilder, he is definitely a crowd pleaser and firm favourite. And he also has a humorous personality and inviting smile which shines through even in his posing and definitely sets him out as a popular character in bodybuilding.
