Lately, I have been keeping up with my weight training but slacking off when it comes to my diet. As always I start out with good intentions and manage to last about three to four weeks on a good healthy diet and fitness regime, before it all goes to pot and I spend a few days eating shit (not literally), and I figure whats the point! so out goes the good diet and exercise for a few month but to my credit, I do stick to my bodybuilding routine of lifting weights on a regular basis.
In fact I feel stronger than ever. My shoulders have made the biggest improvement and although I don’t train my legs as often as I should, playing football once a week (lots of sprinting) has helped to bulk my legs up alittle, still along way to go with the calves though
So at the minute I’m at the point of starting to put on a little too much fat and any progress made lifting weights justs make me look more fat than musclebound. I maybe exaggerating a little but lets say I’m getting to the point where, if I don’t act now I will never achieve my goals of 10% body fat. (Ive been at this point a few times)
I will make some plans before the week is out to sort out my diet again, check my body fat and weight and plan some targets to hit, which hopefully I will be able to meet. I will post all on my blog. stay tuned…….

Few things to keep you on track
1. keep a food log
2. take picture of yourself in the mirror twice a month - knowing you’ll be going “backwards” is fear within itself.
3. rethink why you started training in the first place and reconnect with that positivity and mindset

don’t forget that there are gaining phases and cutting phases. when your gaining (depending on your body type) its ok to cheat more and more. And yeah, you might lose your abs, but your body has muscle memory and as soon as you need to get back in shape, its much easier because the body has already been there. check out my website, just launched it. its strictly bodybuilding and has a forum that im trying to get more people to join. sign up for it and let me know what you think of the site

Gaining muscle without putting any fat on is on the extremely difficult to impossible side. Don’t worry about it too much. Just focus on building muscle, then when you are ready to get ripped focus more on diet and proper hydration.
