A good home gym is money well spent for anyone interested in bodybuilding. Sometimes its easy to let gym sessions slip here and there and I find this particularly truthful when it comes to training my legs. Its too easy for me to sack the gym off after a long day at work. So I invested in a smith’s machine and some free weights, and It’s been one of the best investments I have ever done.
The best thing about having gym equipment at home is that its a time saver. You never have to wait to go on it, or have other gym members hovering around you wanting to use the weights you are on. There’s also no need to leave the house has there is no commute involved and theres really no excuse for not training when all your gym equipment is in the next room.
There are things I miss about not going to a gym, Like the banter and women, but at the end of the day my training is the most important thing for me and with a 3hr commute to work and back I really feel relieved to get home hit the weights and rest as soon as possible.

For some reason I’ve always had a lack of motivation using a home gym. I’d rather go to the gym, some reason my motivation sky rockets.

I would have to second what Eddie said. For me, especially since I have kids, tt is much easier for me to discipline myself to go to the gym. As soon as I get home, there are 2 kids and a wife needing my undivided attention.
If I were a bachelor, a home gym may be the best fit for me.
