I have been having trouble for a few months now with pain located on my ankles. the only muscle I can put this down to is the Soleus on the inner part of my ankles. now this isn’t a problem due to bodybuilding, its more or a problem due to runnning.
in December of 2007 I was running frequently during work lunchtimes down the canals. I got the strain from wearing normal trainers that I thought would be ok for running in, obviously not. 5 mths down the line and I keep getting repeated pains in the soleus area on both ankles. the right ankle hurts the worst and this pain comes at the weirdest of times. normally in the mornings when I start to have a little jog to make sure I catch the train. the muscle seems to pull abit more I think when Im moving down hill, so I think I may need to get some sort padding to raise my heel alittle more for support but Im not sure (I can even play a whole hour of football and not feel any pain).
anyways I think I may invite some sports injury bloggers to see if they can diagnose my problem as my problem might be abit more specific than what the BBC ’s fitness section can offer me and hopefully I can get some good advice for recovery. I really want to start some form of jogging again to burn some calories in order to lose some fat and make some bodybuilding progress but at the moment jogging up and down hills are out of the question and I don’t live in a flat area.
